Day 2

We had a wonderful nights sleep at the Comfort Inn last night.  We woke up this morning got our showers, went down ate our breakfast excited to get our second day started and guess what we walked out the door too.

Our initial weather check about 30 minutes prior to us walking out the door to leave was no rain, but very chilly.  Leather chilly and no we did not let brenda decide if it was a leather worthy day.  If it was left up to her we would have worn parkas today.  Good news once we got all of our rain gear on the rain stopped.  We left the rain gear on for the just in case and you know it because we left the rain gear on we did not see another drop of rain,  but we did get to see this rainbow.

Below are some pics of St. Louis arch.

Here are a couple of pics from downtown.

Here is us at a gas station in Joplin, MO on our way to Galena, KS.

Galena, KS

Here is us with Melba the Mouth. She is awesome and still can not figure out when she takes time to breathe.  She talks so fast and about so much.  You leave Cars on the Route with a ton of information about Route 66 from the history, the revival and upcoming festivals.

Here is Gnorbert!  coming out for some photo ops here in Galena!

Gnorbert meets Tow-Tater

This is why we came to Galena.  We had so much fun when we came here before we thought it would be worth another trip back.  The name used to be 4 Women on the Route but do due many circumstances it is now Cars on the Route.

This is the bridge that Melba and her friends with Cars on the Route raise the money to save.

Now we are back on the road headed for Tulsa, OK.

Route 66 Harley Davidson Tulsa, OK.

This is where we ate dinner the 5 and Diner.  Great food!!! Gnorbert was out of control in here. He went crazy getting his picture taken.

Cool Harley Fan with a headlight for the lamp.

UH-OH do you see this?  We were concerned that it may be Magenta.  Hee hee hee.

We got lucky still no rain for us.  Intstead we got to see a pretty sunset as we rode to find an availaible hotel outside of OKC.  We ended up in El Reno,OK.

Pretty nice ending to a great day!
