Today we rode into Jerome,AZ. The Mile High town. In its heyday Jerome was a booming copper mining town and home to 15,000 people after the mines closed in 1953 the population at one point got as low as 50 people. Now it is prospering again as an art colony. A cool hippie town welcomes all.
Pictures of kaliedoscopes. It was a shop who had 39 artist who make home made scopes. The most expensive one in the shop was $5000.00. Neat shop but just would never spend that kind of money on a koliedoscope, but all who were in the shop were pretty impressed with them. I think they should have shared. Just Saying!
Some more pics of town
The song that goes through your mind during this ride was everyday is a winding road. There were 158 turns in 12miles while going to an elevation of 5000 ft.
